Speech-language and occupational therapy, or treatment, is provided following the completion of a thorough evaluation to identify the client's area(s) of need. Evidenced-based intervention is provided by considering the most up-to-date research, the therapist's clinical experiences and the client and family's perspective.
Occupational therapy specifically helps clients gain independence while also strengthening the development of fine motor skills, sensory motor skills, and visual motor skills needed to function and socialize in the client's natural environments.
